Our company story began with a simple observation: plenty of Sunshine Coast households were interested in solar, but many found it difficult to compare equipment, understand system sizes or work out whether a battery was genuinely worthwhile. Our founding story centres on Daniel Mercer, an electrician with a strong interest in renewable energy and the practical challenges of residential electrical work. After working on homes across the coast and hinterland, Daniel wanted to build a business that put clear explanations and property-specific recommendations ahead of complicated sales pitches.
The Sunshine Coast shaped that approach. A home near Golden Beach faces different environmental conditions from a shaded property in Buderim or a newer house in Palmview. Daniel's view was that good solar design begins by listening to the customer, looking carefully at the property and explaining the choices. As the business concept developed, he brought together people who shared that approach, including installation specialist Liam Fraser and customer coordinator Sophie Bennett.
